What you can do on Speed Hut

• Download Speed – Measure how fast data reaches your device, in Mbps.

How it works

• Free to use: no account, sign-up or payment is required.
• Speed calculations and your test history are handled in your browser. The test itself necessarily exchanges data with our servers, as described below.
• A few features rely on an online service (speed test traffic). What is sent and why is explained in our Privacy Policy.
• Works in modern desktop and mobile browsers, with nothing to install.
• The interface is available in English and Chinese.
• The site is supported by advertising, which keeps every tool free.

Who runs Speed Hut

Speed Hut is built and maintained by an independent developer who focuses on small web tools that are fast, clean and respectful of your privacy. Each tool is meant to do one job well, load quickly on any device and work without an account.

Why we built it

When video calls stutter or downloads crawl, the first question is whether the connection itself is slow. Speed Hut gives a quick answer without installing an app, using lightweight test endpoints on Cloudflare's global network.
